The UK went into lockdown on the 23rd March 2020, in response to the Global Pandemic, COVID-19. As a result of this, many construction sites at the time closed to follow government guidelines, including Appledorn.
In late May, the Government advised that construction sites could start to remobilize, and with this news Appledorn put the health and safety of their staff and visitors at the forefront and purchased Thermoscreen – a temperature screening solution to detect body temperature, which may indicate the presence of a fever, a symptom of Coronavirus, from a safe distance.
What is a thermoscreen?
The thermoscreen, supplied and installed by Sicuro, has a high temperature measurement accuracy of +/- 0.3C, taking just 1 second to detect a person’s temperature. The process is safe and contactless, with measurements being taken at a 3 metre distance, and can scan 30+ people one after another.
The thermoscreen has flexible deployment and can be moved to different locations to be used, and is quick and easy to set up and operate.
